Dreamers Gallery

About

Dreamers Gallery is inspired by the "broken dream recorder," which is an attempt to capture images replayed in dreams and unravel the oddities of nightmares while exploring the role of culture and art.

This theory originated from Sigmund Freud's experiments in psychology, where patients were asked to draw items and interpret them, known as dream analysis. According to Astrid, "everyone experiences some form of stress that reveals itself through dreams. Personally, I find dreams fascinating as they can reveal a lot about a person's innermost thoughts and feelings."

By journaling worries through art, the technique helps address both conscious and unconscious emotions, enabling individuals to visualize elements of their dreams. The focus is on using art as a catharsis for nightmares and dreams. Afterward, she recasts the ending by applying her artistic skills.

Artist Statement

Astrid's artistic approach is distinctive in that it focuses on capturing the dreams and emotions of others. Rather than expressing her own feelings, she aims to create pieces that reflect the innermost thoughts and emotions of her subjects. She works closely with people to understand their interests and perspectives, drawing inspiration from their experiences to craft personalized pieces that showcase their unique stories. Astrid's work is characterized by its ability to convey complex emotions and narratives in a way that is both authentic and moving. She has a talent for bringing her clients' innermost feelings to life on canvas, and her work has already garnered attention from art enthusiasts around the world. As she continues to develop her craft, we're excited to see what new perspectives and emotions she will explore and share with the world.
